Aapki yaad phir aati hai,
Par aane ke baad vo jaati to nahin
Kitna ye hamein rulaati hai,
Par aankho mein pani laati to nahin
Har kaam kuch kuch karte hain – kuch kuch nahin karte,
Ye dhadkan aapka naam bhulati jo nahin
Aap kya gaye hum to yu murjha gaye,
Koi bhi khushi dil ko behlati to nahin
Ye kya ho gaya hamein, kar baithe hum khud hi se dushmani,
Aapne kahin hamari raahein bhuladi to nahin
Thandi havaein jab chhoo jaati hai to lagta hai,
Kahin yaado ki aag phir jaladi to nahin
Idhar udhar dekh kar phir sochte hai,
Kahin kisine hamari kismat churali to nahin
Phir sochte hai sab kuch khuda pe chhod de,
Phir lagta hai kahin usse bhi hamari ye haalat ganvaari to nahin!
Phir sochte hai sab kuch khuda pe chhod de,
Phir lagta hai kahin ussey bhi hamari ye haalat ganvaari to nahin!

I would want to write a few pages on this poem… 😀
I’m sitting in office with a shitload of work piling up beside me, and here I am, reading your poems!! lol…
This one hit me hard… I am still feeling the punch… While driving to work today, I was in a contemplative mood, and I was thinking back on a few things that I had gone through and how it had affected me… Kind of an introspection… Then, when I read your poem and saw the beautiful messages and the meanings and the sadness in those lines, I almost decided to take the day off and go on top of a hill and think about stuff… It’s a serenity that I can’t describe adequately in words…
I can’t thank you enough for sharing such beautiful thoughts…
Please don’t stop blogging!!! 😀

If it would not cost you too much of your time, I would be glad to read those ‘few pages’ that you want to write about this, it would be interesting to know some one else’s take on my words… Please don’t read my poems at the expense of your office hours! 😀 I would feel bad!
If it helped you feel the serenity, I would say it was worthwhile for me to write it! Like my brother says, a reader’s compliment is the writer’s inspiration!! I guess he must be right 🙂

And your brother’s absolutely right…When I got my first book out, I didn’t know what to expect… Then when ppl came up to me and said they liked the book, it gave me a strange feeling of satisfaction…
